[vc_column_text]At the largest, freely accessible event in the Netherlands, Nijmegen will show us what she’s got: choose from over a 1000 different performances divided over 40 different stages. Whether you are into pop, classic, rock, techno or jazz, we cater to every taste.

What is a party without celebrating it with others? At the Vierdaagsefeesten we have got you covered: party together with one and a half million other visitors who can be found in Nijmegen these seven days. Want to escape the busy buzz of the inner city for a while? Take a break in one of our parks, enjoy our beach or visit an exposition. You could also decide to enjoy a theater performance, gain some skills at a workshop or even attend a lecture! [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ font_color=”#000000″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”]

What, when, where?

On Saturday, we will kick-off the 50th edition of the Vierdaagsefeesten. Following the opening of the event, Sunday will feature a spectacular firework show at the Waalkade. On Wednesday we celebrate acceptance and diversity, as Nijmegen will be turned into a pink celebration of tolerance. A closing ceremony on Friday — highlighting the accomplishments of those participating in the Internationale Vierdaagse Afstandsmarsen Nijmegen — will mark the end of the event.

Want to see everything? Doing just one round to see all stages will result in a 7-kilometer walk. Luckily, you also have seven full days to walk it. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”top-left” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]

Program

At this special edition of the Vierdaagsefeesten, we have decided to not present single and popular  acts on large stages as for instance the one at the Waalkade. Why not? Because we simply want to guarantee that everyone has enough space and breathing room to enjoy the event. So instead, we have dispersed a number of special and somewhat smaller surprises around town, and we will make sure to highlight each and every one of these gems.

Special and exceptional highlights will be emphasized using the following new themes: I Love Music, Nimweegs gezellig (Nimweegs fun), Kidsroute, Uit je plaat (Raise the roof), Gouden Randje (Golden touch), Inspannen & ontspannen (Exert & relax) and Vier de Nacht (Celebrate the night). These themes will make it easy for you to choose between the 1000 performances held on the more than 40 different stages. Create your own route in the app and discover all that Nijmegen has to offer.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ font_color=”#000000″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”]
